Yuhnke: Living & Dining Room Remodel

This project explores the art of blending heritage with individuality. My clients share a home filled with inherited furniture rich in family history, yet both long to express their true selves within the space. She dreams of a regal, luxurious atmosphere, while he’s drawn to the nostalgic charm of the 1960s.

The challenge was to merge these two worlds on a modest budget without sacrificing elegance. By introducing refined pops of color and modern finishes that enhance the warmth of existing wood tones, the design honors the sentimental value of their heirlooms while bringing fresh life and personality into the room.

The challenge here is to bring in pops of color and new finishes that compliment the wood tones that carry the room.
